Here is Haruna and her baby brother Kouta. Haruna is one of those little girls who everyone would love spending time with because she is such a character. Watching her become a big sister is such a treat!

Here is a video of the session, enjoy!

This is Jack and Anna. I always look forward to seeing these two; they are such great kids! This time Jack, who always likes to be my creative director, had an idea…a photo of his family for his wallet, and a special picture of himself.

I met Ashlee, Sam and Holly when she was born, and now she has a beautiful little brother Brett. I love these guys with all my heart, they have been a huge support over the years. Ashlee has also started a not-for-profit everyone should know about. Check out madebymomma.org. It is a great cause and group of women supporting women. We are doing photos for the organization and are lucky and honoured to be their official photographer, providing free photos for their events and to help further their cause. We will be updating you about their events and will have a full page devoted to them right here on the blog soon.

This is Ben, my oldest client..not in his age, but he was one of the first. I have seen Ben become an amazing little boy over the years, and when I see some of the shots I can’t help but think, “that is so Ben”. He make me smile.

Ben’s Mom also wrote a cookbook, and Nathan and I did the photography, I will post images soon. I can tell you the best thing about photographing a family is I always leave with my smile lines etched deeply in my face from all the smiling and laughing; the best thing about shooting a cookbook (I still had a sore face from the laughter) but I had tupperware container after tupperware container of food. Everyone should buy this book when it comes out. I still crave their super healthy cheesecake.

As I re-build this family photography blog for our new name (same old great photos of francesfoto) Here are a bunch of images from some wonderful families I worked with in 2009. It has been kind of nostalgic looking back, I hope you enjoy!
